These are the Days of My Life

I am a Christian wife and mother. I am a first grade teacher and could not love my job more. I balance many activites in my life and pray that it is all held together with God's love, strength and mercy.

Happy 10th Birthday Hannah

I can't believe my baby girl has been on this earth now with me for 10 years. Simply amazing. So, Hannah, this blog is for you!!
10 Reasons why I love you....

1. You have such a sweet and kind spirit!
2. You always do your best at school!
3. You laugh with me when I make mistakes.
4. You enjoy spending time with your daddy and me!
5. When I ask you if you could do anything in the world with us what would it be, you say, "I just want to be at home with you and daddy relaxing."
6. You draw so well and have such wonderful creative ideas! Your talents far exceed mine in
this area.
7. You set a New Year's resolution to be more spiritual! You even decided to spend your birthday money on a Bible cover. :)
8. You are beautiful- although I would love you even if you weren't.
9. You are so couragous!
10. You are amazingly strong and have such a will to not just live, but to thrive. (Not many people can say that they weigh 66 times their birth weight.)

Your daddy and I love you so much and it is our prayer for you that this year you will grow stonger and wiser both physically and spiritually.

Love, Mom

Run, Jo Anna, Run

Well, I have not wanted to post about it, because I was a little embarrassed. But I am coming out-
I am officially training for the Peachtree Road Race that is held every year in Atlanta on July 4th. I have been jogging slowly, very slowly since the first of January in hopes of running this race in July. Each week I add a lap and I am now up to 1.5 miles. It has not been easy and yes it is most everyday. I am proud of myself, and I realize that I have a long way to go. I have lost 22 pounds and as of this morning 13 plus inches. It is not all about running- there are other ingredients involved. Will talk more about that later. So, now you know- I would appreciate every effort you could make to come and cheer me on in July- I will be the one in the back- but I will be running.....

Charlie Cash....

Charles has been fulfilling his life long dream....a wrestling manager. He is starting small. He is "performing" in a small arena once a month and often they take the show on the road to South Carolina. Yes...I am so proud. His line is, "Cash is King and buys the best talent for the ring." He plays a rich recruiter from Florida trying to buy good wrestlers to wrestle for him. He promises them that they will be rich.

We Are Marshall

This is a great movie. As you know Charles was in it and if you miss the first 10 minutes, then you will miss him. As Marshall is losing the first game of the movie, Charles is the East Carolina coach in purple who is jumping up and celebrating their win. He raises his arms in the air in slow motion. It was a very inspiring movie and needless to say Matthew Maconaughy (I know I did not spell that correctly.) was sooo good. A must see for the holidays...

Four Wheeler Fun!

Yes, I can not believe it either, but we purchased Hannah a four wheeler. Of course it is a kid's version and yes the helmet exceeds DOT standards....but I am still a little nervous. Charles has been out there all day with her teaching her and allowing her to get comfortable before will allow her to go in the backyard.

Christmas 2006

It seems like this was the most relaxing Christmas ever! I think it was because we did not have to rush anywhere the day after Christmas. Hannah got her pink ds and we gave her a four wheeler. I will post those pictures later. She still has to be thoroughly instructed with proper driving procedures. I have my rooster lamp and Billy is happy with his new grill. We enjoyed establishing new traditions in our new home. It brings new meaning to "home for the holidays". I am enjoying staying up late watching movies and sleeping in. I was able to go the the after Christmas sales yesterday for the first time ever! (I may have done this in high school.) It is fun to shop without the pressure of everyone to buy for. Well, now that it is all over I will take down the tree tomorrow and try to enjoy the New Year's festivities. The New Year will bring with it two new classes (my Master's) and hopefully, Billy a new account. (We hope!) More to come on our New Year's resolutions......
